ARinfuse seminar and transnational meeting in Genoa, Italy

The ARinfuse seminar and second project meeting took place on the 16th and 17th of April 2019 in the beautiful city of Genova hosted by our Italian partners GISIG. This was the second of a series of translational project meetings and events to take place within the ARinfuse project kicking-off an active communications campaign to relevant audiences within the utility sector, academia and vocational training professionals.

During the seminar that took place on the 16th of April, an introduction to the project basic facts and objectives was provided by Giorgio Saio of the GSIG and Konstantinos Smagas of GeoImaging Ltd, coordinator of the project followed by presentation on Augmented Reality (AR) state of the art research and use by Paul Lesur of the DFKI. Alessandra Marchese of GISIG then presented preliminary results regarding our work on the business processes and job profiles in water utilities overlooking the AR followed by preliminary proposals to transform AR use cases to learning material.

The seminar was closed by an open discussion and Q&A sessions between the project partners and a mixed audience of academics, professionals and researchers from the CNR-IMATI, the OLPA scrl, the Municipality of Genova, the Iren Group, one of the largest and most dynamic multi-utility companies in Italy and finally, representatives of TICASS.  

After the seminar, the 2 days project meeting of the ARinfuse consortium followed where partners analyzed developments so far and planned for future works.
